My first rescue was a 3legged little corgi cross breed. We found her abandoned along a deserted country road. She had a hurt paw and ended up looking her front right paw. She was so cute when she healed up and would get along as if having only 3 legs was the most natural thing in the world

I rescued my eldest when he was just a puppy. I had been in the hospital and was looking at dogs that were up for adoption. He was ill at the same time I was and when I saw his pic I knew it was meant to be. I contacted the shelter and told them to keep him for me because I would only be leaving the hospital in a few days. When I did leave the hospital my dad took me to the shelter a few days later to go fetch him. He was tiny and could fit in my hand. That was almost 13 years ago and while he might be an old man he is still the absolute love of my life.
