Local shelters

When adopting from a local shelter do you ask for any known history in the dog?

Laura Napier

The shelter nearest to me collects specific data from the person surrendering them and all information that their staff vet is able to find out. If the shelter obtained them in a way other than owner surrendering, they wouldn't have any history on the animal and would just provide the data from the vet.

That stands to reason. Thank you
