Hello!

Hi everyone - I'm new here! I own two dogs, a yorkie and a schnoodle (schnauzer cross minature poodle). I'm having a few difficulties with them being overly excitable at the moment so looking forward to getting tips from other like minded dog owners. Also any enrichment tips / games which will help to mentally tire them out to help keep them calm. Look forward to chatting with you all :)

I have a few different size kongs and my dog LOVES blueberries, apples, and carrots the most. If I don't have any of those on hand, I will also break up her regular dog treats into smaller pieces and fill the kongs. She is sure to be busied with getting the treats out until every trace of them are gone!

Hi there! So nice to meet you. Great that you're looking for some stimulating activities for your dogs. I found that putting dog pellets into a 2L bottle and allowing my dog to play with that really helped during Covid lock down . ( We ended up attaching 4 bottles to a string between two chairs and she would knock them to try get the pellets out!)

Hi Katy! How are you, your Yorkie, and your Schnoodle? I'm having the same experience as you and my French Bulldog also gets overly excited when he hears noise outside the house and when other people come to visit. We tried taking him on walks more often to tire him out and I play fetch with him occasionally to tire him out as well. I heard this works when done more often :)
