Grooming Drama
Hello everyone! I'm looking for some tips to make brushing my Husky easier and less stressful for us both. She has never been a fan brushing. I thought after 6 years of regular brushing, she would get used to it but she hasn't! She's so dramatic about it and causes such a scene! As soon as she sees the brush, she starts acting like it's the scariest thing ever and begins to cry and eventually yelp! Initially, the neighbors would look over my fence to see what was happening to the poor dog! The neighbors are used to it now.
I've tried the treats and keeping everything as calm as possible and praising her but she just hates it so much. Has anyone else had this problem? What has worked for you?

Oh no, I thought my yorkie was a drama queen haha. I never really found a solution, we just have to go little and often instead of long sessions as that stresses him out... I'm watching this thread with interest for tips!!

Same with my two dogs :( they always run away from me when it's time for brushing their teeth. I also tried giving them treats but they already know that I'm going to brush their teeth afterwards. I have tried dental chews and that worked perfectly for me. When I introduced it to them, my two dogs loved it, and it helps clean their teeth and freshen their breaths.

This is what I have found that works it is a brush specifically designed for hard to brush pets. I just went on Amazon and typed in brush glove for dogs and had it shipped right to me
