We have a lot of strays in our neighborhood and for some reason, they really like hanging out at my house. So keeping fleas away is a bit of a challenge. I periodically poison the perimeter of my home (also due to me having a severe allergy to some insects), I vacuum regularly, but it's inevitable that fleas will eventually get on the pets. I've tried a lot of different products and as much as I hate using chemicals, it seems like the only option. Frontline Plus seems to work better than the others but I don't put it on monthly, only when I see that the other preventative measures have failed. I don't see that any of the natural methods are effective.
