What was your number one motive to rescue your dog? Did you plan for a whole or do it spontaneously?
April Rogers
My first rescue was. Spur of the moment. But later when I had an animal pass away and was ready for a new companion. That's when we planned for it

I never planned on any of the dogs that I have rescued. Each one happened because of an urgent need to do so. Whether they were abandoned and close to starvation, injured, in poor health, abused, etc, I had to decide right then. I have adopted a few that weren't in such dire situations but I never sought out any of the rescues. So motivation was to save an animal's life and give it a safe and loving home.

Rescuing one of my dogs was a deliberate decision based on my desire to provide a loving home for a dog in need. I wanted to give a second chance to a dog who may have had a rough start in life, and provide them with a safe and happy home. While it was a planned decision, it still required some spontaneity and flexibility as I didn't know exactly which dog I would end up rescuing until I met them. Overall, my number one motive was to make a positive difference in a dog's life :)
