Our dog isn't super affectionate she may lick your hand now and then but how do you deal with a dog who wants to lick aka kiss you all the time?
Laura Napier
I had a Rottweiler that was super affectionate and whenever she would see us or get close to us, her tongue would start flapping. She just couldn't help herself. Just like with any training, you just have to consistently say no and stop the behavior by moving your hand or face or whatever away. Eventually she got it. Her tongue would still go crazy as soon as she was near us but she learned to just lick the air. Every once in a while, when the recipient was ready for a sloppy kiss, we could just say "ok" and she would move in for the kiss!

What a cute vision of the air licking. I love it

Mine also wasn't too "licky" she'd kiss occasionally so we didn't mind the odd face wash but I don't think I'd be too keen if my dog was always licking me. I house-sat once for sausage dogs that were always excessively licking and found it a bit over the top
