Niping
I have a 4 yr. old Italian Grayhound. He sits in my lap and nips at my small grandkids if they come anywher close to me.He acts like he is afraid of them and sometimes hides behind our big chairs. What can I do to stop his niping and be more comfortable around my grandkids?

I understand that nipping from any cattle dog is normal, but how do you stop the nipping? We found our dog through a woman that found her in a close by neighborhood. We are also trying to teach her to go outside to potty in the rain. We thought we were doing well with that training, however, it is raining again and she will not get in the wet grass. We also need to find out how to get her in the car without lifting her in the car.
