Washing German shepherd

I have a 3 year old female German shepherd who loves to be brushed and groomed. How often can I give her a bath...I gave heard 2 weeks, a month, even 6 months?

I have had 4 German shepherds and they all learned to love being brushed and combed. I rarely berthed them and they all had beautiful coats and never smelled. The GSD does shed like crazy so frequent brushing and combing helps with that and it deepens the bond with you as the top human in their life. Show dogs are washed before every show, of course. I would not bath too often, as they need the natural oils to keep their skin from drying out. My shepherds lived mostly in my house or in a large grassy back yard, so they did not get down in the dirt very much. Occasionally I would have them bathed by a groomer so they would be comfortable being handled and groomed by a stranger. My last GSD s lived 12-14 years and were bathed about once a year, after they lost their winter coat. That is the good news about GSDs, they are not that high maintenance for grooming, but they need more training and human interaction than other breeds. They love being with their family. :) :)

My American Bulldog has allergys and skin issues. She is bathed every weekend and her bedding washed. So I would say it depends on the dog. She has a beautiful coat and enjoys her walk in shower.
